This fortnight there has been only a tiny shift in the figures.


Operating System Market Share

For the period 1st to 15th of September, these percentage figures 
are based on visits, with earlier figures in brackets:-

Desktops/Laptops 58% and Mobiles/Tablets 42%.

Pages per Visit is currently 0.99 for desktops and 0.60
for mobiles.  Basically, people with tablets and phones 
are looking at the pictures.  People are not exploring 
web sites like they used to.

The total sample size above was 26919.

The sample size was 27009 visits by humans. 

Times have changed - IE remains under 20% and Firefox
remains under 10%.  I am working on splitting the above 
figures into two components, since Chrome and Safari are
so dominant on tablets and smartphones.


Search Engines Share

for September 1st to 15th, 2013:-

The share for 'Bing + Yahoo' remains under 10%.  

The total number of searches in this sample was 17496, 
including 11580 of 15682 searches (74%) via Google 
where the search string was suppressed, allegedly 
for privacy reasons. 

The 74% figure above has risen sharply, up from 65% 
two weeks ago and 27% at the start of the year.
