Latest Stats as at 3/4/2013 ============================= These figures cover the 16 day period 16/3/2013 to 31/3/2013. Again, this fortnight sees a big increase in visits from smartphones and a corresponding decrease in visits from desktops. The reason for this jump and similar trends at Christmas has now become clear. The current results include the Fri-Sat-Sun of Easter and on these days the number of visits from smartphones far exceeded the number of visits from Windows 7 computers. Normally Windows 7 is dominant. Fluctuation in my results is causes simply by public holidays and offices being closed. As I have written previously, neither Windows-8 nor the Winphone are taking the world by storm. Watch closely to see what Microsoft does, they pulled the plug early on Vista last time. Anecdote: I was having a quiet glass of red in a club on Sunday when some question came up. Both sides wanted the answer - a date or a name, I forget. A woman aged over 60 took her iPad out of its glittering, silvery cover and they keyed the question into Google together and got an answer right there and then.
