These figures cover the 15-day period 1/1/2012 to 15/1/2012.

The Christmas holidays are over and results are returning to normal.

It's the year of the smartphone and the tablet where the internet
will become accepted as yet another "utility".  



Operating System Market Share
==============================

For the period 1st to 15th January 2012, these percentage 
figures are based on visits, with earlier figures in brackets:-

More on China: There were 117 good visits from China giving 867 
hits.  In addition there were 93 visits from Pre-XP computers 
with a total of just 110 hits and all these were discarded.  
Further there were 34 visits (36 hits) from IP addresses on 
my Blacklist and 157 visits (188 hits) classified as 
"repeated short visits".  Finally there were 666 visits from 
robots and crawlers.  Internet activity from China is a joke.

Windows mobile phones have improved this month.  Their market share
is now 0.7% of the mobile market (including iPads) compared
with Apple on 73% and Android on 13%. Some newly-released 
Nokia $0 phone plans come with Windows.

The total sample size above was 18850.

Bing and Yahoo have both dropped a little.  The general public 
don't want them, so now we get a lobby group called Fair Search
at www.fairsearch.org which claims Google is a monopoly.
